Prayer is the place where, in the presence of the Lord, pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. It is where we admit our needs, adopt humility and claim fully and unreserved dependence upon God. Prayer is the manifestation of true faith and hope in God. It is where, James 4:8, we draw near to God and He near to you.

Remember, be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Phil. 4:6-7
